Funny how we started to make these. Our almost 19 year old daughter was about 2 -1/2 and wanted her “own” cup. So Steve made her a child-sized mug and I decorated it with her name and birthdate. Then she wanted “my own” bowl and plate. Steve made a small bowl and matching plate, which I personalized. She loved having her own place setting. Friends of ours saw the place settings and wanted them for their own children and for gifts. And we’ve been making them since 1990. |
| These place settings, which we fondly call kids’ sets, are made one at a time, by hand. They are made of porcelain clays, glazed with non-toxic glazes and are safe for use in dishwashers, conventional and microwave ovens. Let us know how you would like them personalized: the child’s name and birthdate, and the primary color you’d prefer. You might even want a mug for yourself–it’s the perfect size for that little mid-afternoon cup of coffee. |
