It was three years ago yesterday that I began this blogging journey.Much has happened in those 3 years, and as I read back through the archives, I remember. Births and deaths, illness and healing, artistic growth— all part of the majesty of this life. We’ve demonstrated the Power of One as we’ve raised our cups of kindness. We’ve shared cups of coffee and glasses of wine over the cyber-fence, as wetappity tap our wishes, lies and dreams.
Thanks for sharing your world and mine. I’ve posted some photos of this frosty April morning in my neck of the woods. As always, feel free to leave me a comment, or a stone (o), to let me know you’ve stopped by.

In the studio, works in process manifest differently. Here are a few:
Works in process are all around us; we just need to take the time to look.
A couple of weeks ago, we drove to Michigan to pick up some posts from a show. To get there, we drove to Toledo, and turned right. Along the way, we came across this:

Years ago, when we passed the Peninsula United Methodist Church, my oldest daughter asked what it’s name was. When I told her that is was the Methodist Church. she asked where the other two were. “Which other two,” I wondered. “You know,” she said knowingly, ” the Method and the Method-er.”
Members of the Peninsula United Methodist Church worked long and hard to raise the money to restore the steeple of the historic church. Here is what it looked like prior to the restoration:
The steeple was removed for restoration:
Here is the beautifully restored steeple:

and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural
which is infinite which is yes ~~ee cummings
Now that cake, ice cream and party hats are no longer an issue for me, birthdays are a time of reflection. I am so grateful for what I have: for the family and friends who surround me with love and care; for the leaping greenly sprirts of trees, the blue true dream of sky for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes. And it is the only day of the year when I can crank up the volume and dance with reckless abandon in the kitchen.
Peninsula’s Spring Stroll will be here before long. It’s a celebration of spring, which is welcomed in my Valley. Our winters are long, cold and gray, and warmer temperatures and blue skies are a joy.
Last year’s celebration featured fairy houses and gardens. This year’s event will be Saturday, May 22nd and fairies will return to the Village. Here’s a look at last year’s festivities. As always, please feel free to leave me a comment, or a stone (o), to let me know you’ve been here. And wander over to My Town Monday, where you will find links to other folks who explore their towns.
In May of 2009, the Village of Peninsula, Ohio, population 602, hosted a village-wide display of fairy houses and gardens. Here is a look at some of them, starting with those at Elements Gallery.

A year or so ago, I posted this video; 50 people in New York were asked what they wished would happen by the end of the day. It’s an interesting question, I think. What do you wish would happen by the end of the day?
Spring has arrived in the Cuyahoga Valley. This is our 21st year in the Village of Peninsula. It’s a good time to take a look at the beauty of the place called Peninsula, in the valley called Cuyahoga. I’ll be doing that over the next little while. Join me. And, as always, please feel free to leave me a comment, or a stone (o), to let me know you’ve stopped by.
