There’s nothing like a bright red male cardinal in the snow. I enjoyed your photos and as much as I don’t like being cold and walking on the ice, I think they are beautiful to behold and are simply a part of the cycle of our lives.

I can relate to those icicles. Our south side gets a tremendous amount of them. Also, Paige and I were just talking about this a little while ago … The community center is a few blocks from here. They use saw horses and hazard signs to block off their west sidewalk because there are treacherous, huge icicles above and always a skating pond of a walk below that in the winter.

Oh yes…those photos remind me of my years on the OTHER side of Lake Erie. Our temps should be back up to 60F by the end of the week. I’ll have a margarita on my deck in your honor.
