Musings

Leaving a StoneI think that blogging is kind of like today’s version of talking over the backyard fence. We sit with a cuppa and tappity tap our thoughts to our cyber neighbors. And when we have nothing much to say, we leave a stone (o) to let them know that we stopped by.

So, if you’ve stopped by, leave a comment, or, at least let me know you were here. I’ll raise my cuppa to you.

hey, debra, I’ve been by! I hope to come nearby you on Labor Day weekend, but not sure if this trip will be the one that I come to see your shop. Lauren wants to visit colleges up there :-( Still, could you let me know when you are open and where you are?

Hey Debra — It’s amazing that we’ve all (humans, women, mostly?) created this amazing network connecting us all. Today I heard from my cyber friend of several years, Lokken, a children’s book illustrator from Denver. She and her daughter are passing through VA tomorrow on their way to Florida from Tennessee. Long story. :)

They were going to stay here tomorrow night, until I got a call from my MIL — she needs me to drive her to and from a hospital procedure tomorrow. ANYWAY — my point is that it’s neat to think we might meet one day. I usually feel sure that my online friends and I WILL meet. Even Hay and Kate from NZ, Gina from UK — I feel like we’ll be hanging out sometime soon IRL. Isn’t that strange? I’m planning on going to LIFE is Good in Washington state in May, and meeting peeps there. :) Can you come?? Jodi and X? :)

And hey! I’ll raise YOUR cuppa right back at you! I enjoy coffee in the mug you made, and I won, every single day. As I sip, I think of you–just a hop, skip and a jump across the lake from me. It is a small world.

Ironically I was actually having some tea when I stopped by (w/a dash of Bailey’s in there.) Here’s to you!

You’ve reminded me I haven’t had a cup of coffee yet today! Time to tear myself away from the fence and make myself one, X

I’m here, as I am pretty much every day.

A sort of quietude is upon me. Daughter and Babycakes went home yesterday, and while the quiet is nice, I miss them already.
