The things that so many people lived through during WW2..or, in fact..ALL the Wars...In my lifetime, there was WW2 and The Korean War and The Vietnam War, and so on and so on....Too many lives lost and changed forever.....WW2 was certainly the war that everyone was behind in this country....We weren't bombed but we lived with lots of restrictions---nothing that wasn't bearable though---But, relatives perished in concentration camps...most of my mothers family...And after the war, I remember her Cousin coming over from Germany, having been liberated from a conxentration camp....He and his Nephew stayed at our house...It is something I will never forget. They were the only two people in their immediare family's who survived.

The sacrifeces made by so very many are uncalclable....
I read your two links---both very touching Debra.
