Here in Boston when the snowdrops poke up their beautiful white heads I pack my winter sweaters away. I don't care at all that there's still a bit of a nip in the air, there's no wool in sight! Have to say I love that we have these changing seasons, each one has its gift. And now the winter hibernation has ended!

Believe it or not, Hawaii has a winter season. We have storms, and it's a little colder than usual. There is snow on the mountains. I use my little space heater in my office sometimes, when it gets below 65 in the house. A friend of mine likes to talk about how she went down to check out what kind of furnace we had and was quite puzzled that we didn't have one! No need!

I have to annually clean out the bird's nest from my mailbox. Every year, they attempt, and every year I shoo them away. I gently pull out the intact nest and set it on the ground. Still, I don't think they appreciate that much.

Debra, in Calif. spring means the hills turn green for a few months and everything is so pretty. Wish it could stay like that all year. It's not as dramatic as a northeastern spring though.
