My mother-in-law tells me that these late winter freezes and thaws accompanied by snow are known as the poor man’s manure. If that’s the case, our gardens should be in great shape this year.

Well let’s hope it’s not for nothing. It’s been a brutal year. I only recall two thaws though-not much to write home about.

Looks like we might get through winter without so much as a single snow of any accumulation. That makes me kind of sad.
