What Else? The Weather: A My Town Monday Post
Since #2 daughter and I were here last week, and I had a pitiful amount of sleep, I will continue my weather related MTM posts for at least another week.
We had another 6 inches of snow to top off our 24 inches or so. Until Friday. When temperatures climbed and the sun came out. Our mountains of snow receded and the ground appeared. We have 3 dogs, who needed to go out during the snow siege, so you can imagine what appeared when the snow melted.
Folks around here are ready for spring. Or at least for a respite from cold and snow. The Village of Peninsula, population 602, will be participating in a Cabin Fever Reliever next month. Stay tuned for details.
Here’s a look at my neck of the woods these days:

Morning Debra, Well I am terribly sun-burned from two days hiking in the 25°C (77°F), 70% humidity in the mountains here in Hong Kong. I could use some of that icy coolness, especially on the neck, shoulders, and behind my knees. We could trade… Here is where relative experiences come into play. We kept hiking through great swarms of macaque monkeys, yesterday, and the second image on your post today comes out very dark on my screen… so my first thought was “What! I didn’t know there were macaque monkeys in Ohio…”
I think I am still a bit groggy.
I like your snow and ice.
Tschuess,
Chris

Well at least you got away for a bit-I love water parks. Your Cabin Fever Reliever weekend sounds like it’ll be fun-I hope you have great weather. We’ve found the same treats with our snow melt-at least most of it is in one area near the fence. Duke’s a little sad he can’t eat the snow off of the table anymore. He still looks for it. Since it’s still early in the game, I’m sure we’ll get a bit more snow, but our forecast this week calls for highs in the mid to upper 40s. Beats 10 below anyday! There is some rain coming this week too which will be good to wash the road salt away.

Glad to see you are getting some respite. I was supposed to be going to Jane D’s for lunch today but I have been snowed out.

I hope spring will be extra beautiful for you this year after all that snow!
Must be I’m feeling chocolate deprived right now: I looked at that bottom photograph and my first impression was ‘Oh boy — chocolate raisins!’

I know you’re fried on the local scene, but the winter pooch pics are too adorable. Here’s to next month’s dose of Cabin Fever Relief. Maximum Strength ExSnowderin!

At least the snow is melting a little and the Cabin Fever Reliever sounds like fun. Loved the picture of your cute little dogs. Looked like they were having fun, at least.

Deer poop in the snow. I’m going to miss that living in town.

We had a nice thaw that revealed our dog’s winter ‘movements’ too. Luckily, my son likes to earn money.
