Your town sounds lovely. I've been through Ohio but only during nighttime, driving through from Saint Louis to Boston. I think I should visit during daytime!

If I ask for a million dollars can you make that happen too?

Nice post. Sounds quaint. One of these days I'll have to stop by your village and take a dunk in the quarry.

Sometimes it does seem that time stops in Peninsula, Larramie! The quarry is a real old fashioned swimming hole.

Heat and humidity are the norm here in NE Ohio, Mary. When my kids were little we'd go all the time. A welcome respite from the weather! I'd love to travel to Scotland some day! Even to see the pools rather than jump in!

I want to swim in the quarry!

There are natural pools around this town, along remote country roads. Only people who know this area well tend to know where they are, and the longer we stay here, the more of them we find. A lot of them are fed by waterfalls, and you can swim in them when it's warm. Guess how often that is, given that this is Scotland -- maybe one or two days of the year.

I'm betting that Ohio is very warm in the summer...

lyzzydee--thanks for stopping by. The Quarry is unlike any other swimming place!

Yes, Eryl, we can have our coffee and cheesecake there, using plates and mugs from our gallery. How does that sound?

Cathy--Peninsula IS a fine place. We love this place. We live about 20 minutes from our studio.
