It was bitterly cold here today and it snowed in the hills. In town, we got a lot of sleet and some tree-tearing winds, but no sadly no snow. This sure felt like the snows of my childhood. We took a yardstick outside and measured, Moanna. 22 inches of snow! We've been digging out for over three hours. It was 16 degrees and the tractor wouldn't start. I'm on my way out to the barn to give the chickens more food. The door to let them out is packed with snow and they are locked in. Mother Nature MADE us slow down, didn’t she Larramie? This sure felt like the snows of my childhood.

It's soo glistening today, the sky deep blue and the sun fairly blinding. I didn't go out and tromp in it yesterday, but just stayed inside puttering with chores and in the kitchen. I talked to my mom in Montreal and they were having the same thing the biggest storm since 1971 apparently. It pored rained here in Boston and I took a rainy day nap in the afternoon then we went out for a sushi dinner. We hadn't been out to a restaurant in ages so why not go when you can get drenched? :) Well, the food was yummy and perked us right up but last night the wind blew so hard that our old house actually trembled! Hope you get shoveled out and that the sun shines! It's shining here now but I think the basement is flooded. I know what we're doing today! Wow, a whopper!
