Late Winter: Frozen in Grand Central Station

The sun is shining in NE Ohio. The birds sing their promises of Spring. The chickens beg for their coop to be cleaned. Maybe later….. Dust bunnies in the house are relegated to the trash and the laundry is working its way through the process. We alternately work and nap, sipping coffee in between. A late winter Sunday afternoon.

As I checked my computer, I came across this. Thanks to Sherry for brightening my day.

The sun is still shining today, Debra. Enjoy it while you can. ;)

As for those “frozen,” I’m surprised there wasn’t more concern shown.

That was yesterday, dear Larramie. Today: snow, sleet, the wintry mix. Frozen….
It seemed like folks didn’t know how to respond to the frozen ones at Grand Central Station. Someone thought it was a protest…

    It’s a winter wonderland…

    Hmm, protesting a la Ghandi?

Beautiful, isn’t it. Lots of snow juxtaposed with the robins. Wonderful!
    Protesting a la Marcelle Marceau.

That was absolutely marvelous! And I’m impressed that anyone could actually get that many New Yorkers to go along with something like that. Perhaps they weren’t all natives?

I saw the ‘frozen’ ones on a video at vimeo, fantastic! My old modern art teacher would love it.

As for the weather, here in Scotland it’s been beautifully sunny but no snow, we don’t seem to get snow any more, I do miss it.

It is cool isn’t it, Mrs. G.

Mary–I don’t know where the participants were from. #2 daughter’s response was, “Cool! I wanna do that.”

What is interesting to me, Eryl, is that it made people t-h-i-n-k.
